11 - 14 - 2006 Last Year on the Farm
Today is WINDY and much colder than when I painted this yesterday....This is Nana's house as seen from my studio. There have been no lights on this early since she left to live in an assisted living place. I used to see lights on SO EARLY every morning as she and Pa, dairy farmers, were used to being up before the sun....Their daughter, Aunt Nancy, now runs the farm. She must have had the light on this morning. It was good to see it! Our fall colors are best noticed in the grasses...starting to turn orange and red...to an artist.
