Drowse

"Drowse"____9x12 from my sketchbook
Romeo has his "own" couch, downstairs. When the storms roll in, he hears the thunder miles before we do, and he gets upset and demands to be wherever we are. Giving us his famous, deep "Woo, woo" before the storm the other night, he really really wanted to be on "our" couch. Since everyone else had gone to bed, I was alone on the couch, and relented...just this once...here he is straddling the couch and the ottoman, taking a drowse...

I've been following your blog and admiring your art for a while (especially your night scenes) and I noticed that you, too, appreciate our doggie friends. Romeo is very well done, and I can identify with his "early warning system" for thunderstorms. While I lived in Costa Rica we had a fairly large earthquake, and my two dogs, Pokey and Tacobelle were cowering under my feet about 5 seconds before the room started swaying. Drop by my blog sometime, if ya get a chance...coffee's on.

Hi V, have been very slack about my blogging lately - just too hot to do anything! As always Romeo is just so special and your cowboy/girl paintings are always just like I imagine the 'Wild West' to be.

V...I'm passing on the sunshine award to you. I recently found your blog. Your drawings of dogs are outstanding. Love your paintings too. Check my blog to see what the award is about.

hi v...i got the sunshine award as well and wanted to check in - i found you last year and love your stuff - you HAVE to know that romeo gets on all your furniture the minute you leave the house! - we gave up years ago trying to keep our stuff pristine and now nellie, our golden, owns the place. she HATES thunder and i can't imagine what it would be like if she could "woo woo"!!! keep up the good work!
