A Museum Show

A Glow Study_____collection of M.M.__on display at the show below:

" Voices of American Farm Women"
Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art

February 4, 2009 - April 30, 2009

I wanted to let you know briefly about the Voices of American Farm Women exhibition, made available by Exhibits USA, at the Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art, in Nebraska.
The exhibition consists of 30 black and white photographs of working farm women by photographer Cynthia Vagnetti. This exhibition in most relevant to the museum’s focus and has great implications on the local community. During the reception there was a discussion panel of 3 farm women from the local area to remark on their reactions to the exhibition and their daily lives as farm women. The other neat thing that came with this exhibition is the emphasis on the environment. There are several panels of text and books that discuss sustainable farming practices and other agriculturally minded subjects that inform about current farming techniques. So in conjunction with this exhibition, in the front gallery they rearranged the permanent collection space full of artwork about farm women in subject and/or by farm women. I am included in this space!, with “Glow Study” a painting purchased by the museum curator. This is an exciting and informative exhibition because it combines art with a daily lifestyle and livelihood of a large part of this country, the agricultural community

Oooohhhh V! This may be my favorite—I LOVE cloud paintings. The color in this is fantastic. Cloud workshop in 2010? I have a box of cloud photos waiting for me to get with the program.

This is quite something! There aren't many people who can paint sunsets like you - they mostly look terribly kitschy, but not your's!
